Continuing its engagement with the business community on green transition and sustainable development, EGP Vietnam participated in the workshop "Emissions Reduction: Opportunities and Challenges for Businesses", organized by VietinBank on 3 July 2026 in Ho Chi Minh City.
The workshop brought together representatives from businesses across Southern Vietnam, along with experts in ESG, greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory, sustainable finance, and green transition. The event provided a platform to discuss emerging requirements in emissions management and explore practical solutions to help businesses adapt to the evolving sustainability landscape.

At the workshop, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Thai, CEO of EGP Vietnam, delivered a presentation titled "New Greenhouse Gas Inventory Requirements – What Should Businesses Pay Attention To?"
His presentation focused on the latest regulatory developments relating to greenhouse gas inventories, increasing expectations for ESG data transparency, and the implications of these changes for Vietnamese businesses.
According to Mr. Thai, businesses should proactively establish reliable emissions data systems and strengthen their ESG management foundations to meet compliance requirements while enhancing their competitiveness within global supply chains.

In addition to the technical sessions, VietinBank introduced its Sustainability Linked Loan (SLL) programme, highlighting opportunities for businesses to access financing linked to sustainability performance.
The workshop also provided an opportunity for experts and business representatives to exchange perspectives on the opportunities, challenges, and implementation pathways for emissions reduction amid the growing emphasis on ESG and sustainable development.

Following the workshop, the programme included one-on-one consultation sessions between participating businesses and organizations. These sessions enabled companies to engage directly with experts on topics such as greenhouse gas inventories, ESG reporting, emissions reduction roadmaps, and access to sustainable finance solutions.
During these discussions, EGP Vietnam exchanged views with participating businesses on ESG data management and greenhouse gas inventories, while sharing its approach to building data foundations that support effective emissions management.
